Short answer: the Devialet Mania on measured sound quality, the Sony ULT Field 5 on price. The Devialet Mania ranks #52 of 115 large speakers, rated 3.6/5, at $899. The Sony ULT Field 5 ranks #56, rated 3.5/5, at $268, $631 cheaper.
The Sony ULT Field 5 is the longer-running, tougher pick. A tough, waterproof party speaker with loud, bass focused output, an aux input, a power bank and a long battery. It is rated for 25 hours of battery against 10 for the Devialet Mania. It is rated IP67 against IPX4 for the Devialet Mania. It supports LDAC Bluetooth, which the Devialet Mania lacks. The catch: It prioritizes bass and loudness over fidelity: reviews find the upper mids and highs subdued, with limited stereo separation and soundstage depth.
The Devialet Mania is the lighter pick. A compact, good looking Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stereo speaker with Alexa built in and splash resistance. At 5.1 lbs (2.3 kg) it weighs noticeably less than the Sony ULT Field 5 at 7.3 lbs (3.3 kg). Watch for: Not very loud.
Buy the Sony ULT Field 5 when the price outweighs sound quality for you, and the Devialet Mania when sound quality outweighs the price instead.
