Short answer: the Soundcore Boom 2. It ranks #10 of 75 large speakers at $89.99; the Sonos Move 2 ranks #24 and costs $494.99, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.
The case for the Sonos Move 2: Warm sounding with somewhat rolled off treble. The catch: Not very loud.
What the Soundcore Boom 2 gets right: Pretty deep bass for the size. The catch: Only a single midrange driver, so you only get stereo for the tweeters.
Buy the Sonos Move 2 if the price matters more than the ranking. Buy the Soundcore Boom 2 if the ranking matters more than the price.

The Two Speakers In Full
Sonos Move 2: $494.99 Amazon
Pros: Warm sounding with somewhat rolled off treble. Slightly better midrange clarity than the Move 1.
Cons: Not very loud. This may have some of the same issues at full volume that the Move 1 had too, but I’ll need more sound samples at full volume to verify.

Soundcore Boom 2: $89.99 Amazon Bhphotovideo
Pros: Pretty deep bass for the size. Cool lights in the side passive radiators. For the best sound quality use Oluv’s EQ or Alan Ross’s EQ. With the stock tuning, this speaker would rank around #24, due to the boosted bass and rising treble.
Cons: Only a single midrange driver, so you only get stereo for the tweeters. Sound processing issues with inconsistent bass notes that disappear at low levels like the Soundcore Boom and Soundcore Boost, not great for listening at low levels. Quite bass heavy with BassUp turned on, I’d recommend turning it off. A little bit of a bright tuning in the treble, about +5db.
