The Partybox 1000 has no battery and no app - it’s built purely to be plugged in and cranked. It’s rated at 1100W against the Bromley 750’s 400W, nearly triple, and our own notes call it right up there with the flagship Partybox Ultimate for output. The Bromley 750 trades that ceiling for genuine portability: 40-plus hours of battery life and app-based control the Partybox 1000 simply doesn’t offer.
Sound character is a different trade too. The Bromley 750’s own notes flag its bass as not especially deep and its frequency response as unremarkable, with some midrange peaks - the Partybox 1000, by contrast, inherits the same big-driver approach as the Ultimate that our notes rate among the deepest-bass Bluetooth speakers around.
Both are heavy, wheeled units - the Partybox 1000 is the bulkier of the two at 34 kg (75 lbs) against the Bromley 750’s 23.9 kg (52.7 lbs) - and both take guitar and karaoke-style microphone input, with the Bromley 750 adding true XLR-level jacks.
Buy the Partybox 1000 for maximum output if it’s staying near an outlet. Buy the Bromley 750 if you actually need battery power and app control.
If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Marshall Bromley 750. It ranks near the bottom of the 11 large party speakers, so look higher up the list instead.
If water resistance matters to you, the Marshall Bromley 750 at IP54 (splashing) holds up far better than the JBL Partybox 1000 at no water resistance.

The Two Speakers In Full
Marshall Bromley 750: $1299.99 Amazon
Pros: Much wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than the JBL Partybox 720, which only fires forward - the Marshall’s standout feature, sounding about the same from any angle.
Cons: Not as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 330 or JBL Partybox 720. Not a great frequency response overall, with some midrange peaks. Only basic bass/treble controls, no full custom EQ like the JBL Partybox 720’s app. Default bass (dynamic mode) is overdone out of the box and needs trimming.

JBL Partybox 1000: $1,099.95 Amazon
Pros: Handle and wheels are convenient. Right up there with the Partybox Ultimate, this was the previous speaker in that size. A better value than the Partybox Ultimate. Nice waterfall lightshow.
Cons: Very large and heavy. No battery. No app. Note, JBL daisychain is not compatible with any other non-JBL speaker and is possibly a fully digital signal.
