Measurements from Erin’s Audio Corner favor the 8000F II on tonal accuracy. The RP-6000F II has worse baffle-step coloration than even the smaller RP-5000F II, a 3-4dB swing against 2dB, plus a sibilance issue the 5000F doesn’t share, which our notes call a real regression in tonal balance despite the RP-6000F II’s higher price. The RP-8000F II has its own coloration, an upper-mid bump between 2kHz and 6kHz caused by the vertical horn/woofer offset, but our notes say it delivers the best dynamics and compression behavior of the whole RP II floorstander line, staying cleanest at high output, and it measures the highest sensitivity in the line at roughly 92dB against the RP-6000F II’s 90dB.
Neither speaker reaches its full potential in the bass without help. Both measure identical extension: 33Hz at -10dB and 67Hz at -3dB. Our notes on the RP-8000F II point out that its dual 8-inch woofers still sound lean in the mid-bass and its extension undershoots typical in-room expectations for that driver size. The RP-6000F II’s own notes say it needs a subwoofer regardless of its 6.5-inch woofers, so a sub is worth budgeting for with either speaker.
Dispersion favors the RP-6000F II slightly. Its horizontal spread is around 50 to 60 degrees against the RP-8000F II’s narrower 40 to 50 degrees, making the RP-8000F II more placement-critical in a room, per Erin’s Audio Corner’s measurements. The RP-6000F II also handles more continuous power, 125W against the RP-8000F II’s 150W being higher, plus the RP-8000F II having a taller cabinet.
Buy the RP-8000F II. It measures better on tonal balance and dynamics according to Erin’s Audio Corner, and costs less at the same time.
Buy the RP-6000F II only if its slightly wider dispersion or cabinet size fits your room better than the RP-8000F II’s more directional, placement-sensitive design.

Pros: Highest sensitivity of the RP II floorstander line (~92dB measured) and the best dynamics/compression behavior of the three under load: the cleanest at high output. Dual 8-inch woofers and the highest power handling in the line. Measured bass extension of 67Hz (-3dB), with a measured sensitivity of 92dB.
Cons: Mid-bass sounds lean despite the dual 8-inch woofers, and bass extension disappointed for its size: expected to reach 50Hz, didn’t get there in-room. Has its own edgy upper-mid bump (2-6kHz) that’s harder to EQ out than the other two models’ issues, since it stems from the vertical horn/woofer offset rather than simple tonal balance. The most placement-critical of the three, with the narrowest horizontal (~40-50 degrees) and vertical (+5/-10 degrees) dispersion.

Pros: Highest power handling and clean, well-behaved compression at typical volumes. Precise imaging from the controlled horn directivity. Measured bass extension of 67Hz (-3dB), with a measured sensitivity of 90dB.
Cons: Worse baffle-step coloration than the smaller RP-5000F II (3-4dB swing vs 2dB), plus a sibilance issue the 5000F doesn’t have: a real regression in tonal balance despite the higher price. Bass extension is mixed (less deep at -3dB (67Hz) than the 5000F) and needs a subwoofer regardless. Narrow horizontal dispersion (~50-60 degrees).
