Short answer: the Klipsch RP-600M II, if you are buying new. The Selah Audio Purezza ranks higher than it (#31 vs #124 of 223 bookshelf speakers, 4.4/5 vs 3.7/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Klipsch RP-600M II is still sold new at $449.99.
The Klipsch RP-600M II is the deeper-bass choice. Bookshelf speakers with a large horn tweeter, wide soundstage, high efficiency and bi-amp ready terminals. Its bass reaches about 70Hz before falling 3dB, against 86Hz for the Selah Audio Purezza. The catch: On-axis, the treble runs notably hot (even hotter than the original Klipsch RP-600M in some respects) and needs about 20° of toe-out or the grille installed to sound balanced.
The Selah Audio Purezza is the better-sounding choice. A premium bookshelf speaker with a Purifi woofer and ribbon tweeter, very low midrange distortion, and smooth, broad horizontal sound. The tradeoff: The ribbon’s tall aperture creates deliberately narrow vertical radiation (roughly 20-30 degrees around 7kHz), so stand height and listening elevation are critical.
Buy the Klipsch RP-600M II if you want one new; the Selah Audio Purezza is discontinued, so only look for it used.
