The F226Be is a three-way with a beryllium tweeter, a dedicated 5.25” mid-range and dual 5.25” midwoofers, but its minimum impedance of 3.7 ohms wants a 4-ohm-capable amplifier. The KEF reaches an F10 of 30Hz with a generally flat on-axis response, its main flaw a dip around 1-1.2kHz.
Buy the Revel F226Be. It is rated higher for sound quality, and saving $1,469.92 with the KEF R11 Meta does not make up for the sound-quality gap.
