High-quality manufacturer data gives it a 5.16 ideal-subwoofer preference score with 54Hz measured extension, useful for speech and lighter music without a subwoofer. The KX 32-A’s measurement is truncated and cannot produce a preference score, so despite its ambitious 3200W amplifier and 3-inch titanium-dome compression driver, its acoustic performance relative to the PRX912 is currently unconfirmed.
Output and build diverge sharply. The KX 32-A claims 134dB peak against the PRX912’s 132dB, with a 23.6kg Baltic birch plywood enclosure and RDNet network control, versus the PRX912’s 19.5kg polypropylene/talc composite cabinet. The KX 32-A’s own review flags that it is heavier than mainstream molded alternatives and that pricing and broad retail availability are not yet established.
