JBL Flip 7 vs Doss E-Go II

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the Doss E-Go II for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The Doss E-Go II ranks #113 at $33.90, $96.05 cheaper.

What the JBL Flip 7 gets right: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. Watch for: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.

What the Doss E-Go II offers: Very portable (water bottle sized), truly waterproof (IPX6), 12-hour battery life, excellent value for money, fast Bluetooth pairing. The tradeoff: Horribly bad unless turned up, still not great.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Doss E-Go II if the price matters more than sound quality.

If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Doss E-Go II. It ranks near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers, so look higher up the list instead.
