Short answer: the Klipsch Gig XXL on value. The page calls it really amazing value for the money, though it is not quite as clean sounding as the top ranked speakers. The Electro-Voice Everse 12 has good midrange and treble but is not stereo, so the Klipsch is the easier recommendation if the price gap matters.
Buy the Electro-Voice Everse 12 ($1,046.91) for a battery-powered PA speaker; the Klipsch Gig XXL ($79.99) suits a party speaker instead.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Electro-Voice Everse 12 at IP43 (light spray) against the Klipsch Gig XXL, which has no water resistance.
