Short answer: the Electro-Voice Everse 12 if you want something you can carry. The JBL Partybox 1000’s handle and wheels are convenient, but the page calls it very large and heavy. The Everse 12 gives you good midrange and treble, though it is not stereo.
Buy the Electro-Voice Everse 12 ($1,046.91) for a battery-powered PA speaker; the JBL Partybox 1000 ($1,099.95) suits a large party speaker instead.
Water resistance is not close: the Electro-Voice Everse 12 is rated at IP43 (light spray), well ahead of the JBL Partybox 1000 at no water resistance.
