Short answer: the JBL Partybox 100 for deeper bass. It sounds quite neutral with pretty deep bass, its main flaw a slight peak in the upper mids. The Electro-Voice Everse 12 offers good midrange and treble but is not stereo, which rules it out if you want a true stereo image.
One note: the JBL Partybox 100 is discontinued, but it still ranks #8 of 53 party speakers by sound quality, ahead of most of what is still sold new, so it is worth considering used. The JBL Partybox 100’s replacement, the JBL Partybox Club 120, is still sold new.
Buy the Electro-Voice Everse 12 at $1,046.91 for a battery-powered PA speaker, or the JBL Partybox 100 at $499.99 for a party speaker instead.
Water resistance is not close: the Electro-Voice Everse 12 is rated at IP43 (light spray), well ahead of the JBL Partybox 100 at no water resistance.
