What the Dali Katch G2 gets right: Pretty neutral The catch: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Horribly overpriced. Nearly identical to the Dali Katch G1. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging.
On the Marshall Stockwell 2 side: Possibly the most natural sounding Marshall speaker. Excellent off-axis. Watch for: Not stereo. Not very loud. Uses added DSP reverb which audio purists may find annoying.
Buy the Marshall Stockwell 2. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Dali Katch G2 and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.
Skip the Dali Katch G2 if sound quality matters to you. It ranks near the bottom of the 77 large speakers.
If battery life is a priority, the Dali Katch G2 is rated for 30 hours versus 20 hours for the Marshall Stockwell 2.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the Dali Katch G2 at IPX7 (brief submersion) against the Marshall Stockwell 2, which has IPX4 (splashing).
