Short answer: the Devialet Mania if sound quality matters most, the Dali Katch G2 if price matters most. The Devialet Mania ranks #40 of 77 large speakers at $899. The Dali Katch G2 ranks #58 at $750, $149 cheaper.
On the Dali Katch G2 side: Pretty neutral Set against that: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Horribly overpriced. Nearly identical to the Dali Katch G1. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging.
What the Devialet Mania offers: Small, nice looking. The catch: Not very loud. Extremely high price. Bass boosted. Tweeters are not aimed at you and there’s a huge treble rolloff off-axis as compared to the Beoplay P6 in the comparison video. Only 10 hours of battery.
Buy the Dali Katch G2 when the price outweighs sound quality for you, and the Devialet Mania when sound quality outweighs the price instead.
If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Dali Katch G2. It ranks near the bottom of the 77 large speakers, so look higher up the list instead.
There is a real battery-life gap here: the Dali Katch G2 is rated for 30 hours, the Devialet Mania only 10 hours.
Water resistance is not close: the Dali Katch G2 is rated at IPX7 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Devialet Mania at IPX4 (splashing).
