Pros: A 15 inch subwoofer with adjustable ports that trade deeper extension for more output, with very low distortion. Independent CEA-2010 testing (2 ports open) records 107.8 dB at 20 Hz and 117.6 dB through 40-80 Hz. Variable tuning via dual 4” down-firing ports lets the 15” driver reach 15Hz in Max Extension mode or 18Hz in Max Output mode. Extremely low distortion until the highest drive levels.
Cons: The tall cabinet is about 749 mm high and 470 mm wide and deep, and it weighs 38.6 kg, so it is a big, heavy sub to place and move. Output in Max Extension mode drops to 103.0dB at 16Hz and 94.9dB at 12.5Hz, so the deepest notes are still limited. The tuning is set by swapping port plugs, and it costs more than many 12 inch subs.
