Pros: A floor-standing woofer system that sits under Genelec’s 8341A, 8351B or 8361A coaxial monitors to make a full-range speaker. Front 14-inch (356mm) and rear 12-inch (305mm) woofers, each with 400W of Class D amplification, reach down to 23Hz at -6dB with 120dB short-term output, and three selectable modes steer bass directivity to suit the room. Analog XLR and AES/EBU inputs with GLM calibration.
Cons: No independent measurements yet, so its output can’t be compared with ranked subwoofers. It only works with Genelec’s The Ones monitors and is meant to be used in pairs, one under each speaker. Room calibration needs Genelec’s GLM kit or 9320A controller, sold separately.
