27 portable speakers in our rankings have a digital USB audio input, letting the speaker act as a USB DAC and amplifier for a computer: the digital signal goes straight in, skipping both the laptop’s built-in sound card and any Bluetooth codec compression in between.
This is a wired, desktop-use feature, not something most people need on a portable speaker they carry around - a speaker’s rank here reflects its measured audio performance, not the presence of this input. If you want the input specifically for desktop use, see our curated best USB audio input picks instead, which weighs sound quality against the feature rather than just listing every match.
This is every match, grouped by size and sorted by measured sound quality.
