#19 Hisense Party Thunder Pro: $399.99 Best Buy $399.99 eBay
Pros: A 620W party tower on wheels with a wireless mic, an 18 hour battery, Auracast and a light show. AudioTribe’s metered comparisons of the Party Thunder put it level with the JBL Partybox Stage 320 at 40Hz (92.9 vs 92.3 dB) and ahead of the LG XL7 overall (104.8 vs 99.4 dBA). It also has guitar and mic inputs, USB playback, DJ effects and a vocal fader.
Cons: AudioTribe’s tests favor its rivals on sound: the JBL Partybox Stage 320 ran 4 dBA louder (104.1 vs 99.9) with about 4 dB more at 50Hz, and the Sony SRS-XV800 sounded better with about 6 dB more at 50Hz. Above 80 percent volume only the treble keeps rising. The 620W figure is a maximum rating and does not make it louder than those speakers. The battery is not removable, and it weighs 37 lb. Those tests name the Party Thunder, which shares the 620W and 18 hour figures, but none mentions the Pro’s wireless mic.
