Short answer: the Hisense Party Thunder Pro. It ranks #19 of 53 party speakers by sound quality (rated 3.9/5) at $399.99 and is still sold new; the LG XL7 ranks #23 (rated 3.8/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used.
What the Hisense Party Thunder Pro does well: A 620W party tower on wheels with a wireless mic, an 18 hour battery, Auracast and a light show. It links with other speakers (Auracast), which the LG XL7 cannot. Watch for: AudioTribe’s tests favor its rivals on sound: the JBL Partybox Stage 320 ran 4 dBA louder (104.1 vs 99.9) with about 4 dB more at 50Hz, and the Sony SRS-XV800 sounded better with about 6 dB more at 50Hz.
The case for the LG XL7: A wheeled stereo party speaker with an 8 inch woofer, a long battery, splash resistance, custom lighting, and app EQ. The tradeoff: Careful placement and volume setting remain important for balanced sound.
Buy the Hisense Party Thunder Pro. It is rated higher for sound quality; the LG XL7 is no longer sold new.
