Same family: the Electro-Voice MFX-15MC (larger model, rated 3.6/5).
Pros: A compact coaxial 12 inch stage monitor with high peak output and a tight coverage pattern for stage and fill use. The coaxial 12-inch design provides compact 60° x 40° coverage and reaches a claimed 135dB peak with the recommended amplification. Medium-quality vendor data returns a 3.78 ideal-subwoofer preference score. Measured bass extension of 82.5Hz (-3dB).
Cons: This is not self-powered: it requires an external amplifier and can be run passive or externally bi-amplified, so it is less convenient than every conventional powered cabinet here. Measured bass extension is about 75Hz and the narrow pattern is aimed primarily at stage-monitor and fill use.

Frequency Response
How the Electro-Voice MFX-12MC measures across the audible range. A flatter listening window (the sound arriving straight at you) is more neutral: peaks sound forward or harsh, dips sound recessed. The estimated in-room response adds what a typical room does, and there a gentle, even tilt down toward the treble is ideal. Both curves are shifted so their 300 Hz to 3 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
Measurement data: spinorama.org, measured by the manufacturer.
EQ for a Neutral Response
Flattens the measured listening window from the Electro-Voice MFX-12MC's own bass extension up to 16 kHz. Set a preamp of -3.6 dB, then add these filters to any parametric equalizer in the signal path: the speaker's app or DSP if it has parametric EQ, a miniDSP, Equalizer APO or Wavelet. Boosts are kept to 3 dB, and EQ cannot fix how evenly the speaker spreads sound off-axis, which is why some speakers gain more than others. Calculated by Speaker Ranking from the spinorama measurements above.
