#135 LG xboom Buds: $109.99 TWS Amazon $109.99 eBay

Pros: ANC earbuds with LE Audio LC3, AAC and Bluetooth 5.4 whose sub bass through the 1 to 2 kHz range sits within half a decibel of target, giving full, natural bass and clear vocals. Battery life is 9 hours, 29 with the case, and each bud weighs 5.4 g.

Cons: Treble falls away, about 2 dB low from 2 to 8 kHz and 5 dB low from 8 to 12 kHz with a 6.6 dB dip near 10 kHz, so the sound is warm and lacks air. The score rests on a single measurement.

Frequency Response

How the LG xboom Buds measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is a single measurement, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
