#23 QCY HT05 MeloBuds ANC: $33.99 TWS Amazon $33.99 eBay

Pros: Budget ANC earbuds at about $34 with a preference score of 85, higher than the JBL Tour Pro 3 and every other true wireless set measured so far. Deviation from target is a very low 1.37 dB, with bass, lower mids and the 1 to 2 kHz range all within half a decibel, so music sounds natural without EQ. Battery life is 8 hours, 32 with the case, and the buds are IPX5 rated.

Cons: Sub bass sits about 3 dB below target and air from 8 to 12 kHz is about 3.4 dB low with a 7 dB dip near 10.9 kHz, so deep bass and cymbal shimmer are slightly understated. It supports only SBC, and the score rests on a single measurement.

Frequency Response

How the QCY HT05 MeloBuds ANC measures across the audible range, against the Harman in-ear target that most listeners prefer in blind tests. Where the line sits above the target that range sounds louder (more bass, brighter treble), below it quieter. The curve is a single measurement, and both lines are shifted so their 500 Hz to 2 kHz average sits at 0 dB.
