These sit in different size classes, so this is not a straight ranking comparison. The Xiaomi Sound Party ranks #19 of 144 medium speakers by sound quality at $133.62; the Marshall Stockwell III ranks #59 of 82 large speakers by sound quality at $249.99.

Why pick the Xiaomi Sound Party: An unusually versatile 1.2kg outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. Watch for: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing.
Why pick the Marshall Stockwell III: 40+ hour battery life with a user-replaceable battery, strap, sleeve and grilles. Watch for: Highs are recessed by default and need the treble control maxed to compensate, still lacking detail even then.
Buy the Xiaomi Sound Party ($133.62) for a medium speaker; the Marshall Stockwell III ($249.99) suits a large speaker instead.

The Two Speakers In Full
Xiaomi Sound Party: $133.62 AliExpress eBay
Pros: An unusually versatile 1.2kg outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. Several independent reviews describe a warm, generally balanced sound with clear vocals and useful bass impact when Bass Boost is off. It is also easy to carry thanks to the retractable handle. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing. One lab review found it loud but flat and unclean with blurred treble, while others hear the Bass Boost mode as boomy upper bass that can bottom out at high volume. It is not the strongest choice for a large party: tested output is around 94dB and rivals such as the Soundcore Boom 2 play louder with deeper bass. SBC is the only Bluetooth codec and there is no aux input.

Marshall Stockwell III: $249.99 Marshall eBay
Older model: the Marshall Stockwell II (rated 4.5/5).
Pros: 40+ hour battery life with a user-replaceable battery, strap, sleeve and grilles. Doubles as a USB-C power bank. IP55 dust/water resistance. App includes parametric EQ, a Soundstage widening control, and wall/corner placement compensation. Endless-rotation control knobs.
Cons: Highs are recessed by default and need the treble control maxed to compensate, still lacking detail even then. Bass tends to sound resonant and boomy, with reported frequency cancellation and phase issues on complex material that EQ doesn’t fully resolve. Oluv’s A/B testing against the outgoing Stockwell II finds the default tuning muffled and muddy enough to prefer the seven-year-old original out of the box, and output loses dynamics and bass while turning harsh well below maximum volume. No aptX support.
