Short answer: the Xiaomi Sound Party, if you are buying new. The Minirig 3 ranks higher than it (#8 vs #20 of 164 medium speakers, 4.3/5 vs 4.1/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Xiaomi Sound Party is still sold new at $142.99.
The Minirig 3 is the louder, lighter option. Modular, can easily attach a subwoofer. Alan Ross Reviews measured it at 105dB at full volume, against 102dB for the Xiaomi Sound Party. At 1.2 lbs (550 g) it weighs much less than the Xiaomi Sound Party at 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg). It supports aptX Bluetooth, which the Xiaomi Sound Party lacks. The tradeoff: Calls itself splash resistant and has no official water rating.
The Xiaomi Sound Party is the tougher pick. An unusually versatile 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. It is rated IP67 against Splash resistant for the Minirig 3. The tradeoff: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing.
Buy the Xiaomi Sound Party if you want one new; the Minirig 3 is discontinued, so only look for it used.

Minirig 3: $140 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Minirig 4, ranked higher, rated 4.3/5.
Pros: Modular, can easily attach a subwoofer. Measured bass extension of 53Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not stereo. Calls itself splash resistant and has no official water rating. App is buggy. Wireless TWS pairing is buggy. A bit expensive. Has reliability issues more often than any other speaker. Discontinued; Minirig now sells only the Minirig 4, and the old product page redirects to it.

Xiaomi Sound Party: $142.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: An unusually versatile 1.2kg outdoor speaker: IP67 dust/water protection, USB-C power-bank output, NFC pairing, lights, stereo pairing and a claimed 26-hour battery life. Several independent reviews describe a warm, generally balanced sound with clear vocals and useful bass impact when Bass Boost is off. It is also easy to carry thanks to the retractable handle. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: The sound evidence is mixed rather than universally glowing. One lab review found it loud but flat and unclean with blurred treble, while others hear the Bass Boost mode as boomy upper bass that can bottom out at high volume. It is not the strongest choice for a large party: tested output is around 94dB and rivals such as the Soundcore Boom 2 play louder with deeper bass. SBC is the only Bluetooth codec and there is no aux input.
