Short answer: the W-King T12. It ranks #21 of 51 party speakers by sound quality (rated 3.8/5) at $379.99 and is still sold new; the Sharp PS-929 ranks #42 (rated 2.5/5) and is discontinued, so it is only an option used. The Sharp PS-929’s replacement, the Sharp XParty Sing PS-931, is rated 2.5/5 at $160.
The W-King T12 is the better-sounding, longer-running option. A large wheeled karaoke party speaker with dual 8 inch woofers, bass and treble knobs, and a long battery for big outdoor events. It is rated for 25 hours of battery against 13 for the Sharp PS-929. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Sharp PS-929 lacks. The catch: Reviewer comparisons find the tuning boxy and less clear than the better-ranked party speakers, so its size and quoted power do not automatically translate to refined sound.
The Sharp PS-929 is the lighter option. A battery party speaker with two woofers, a Super Bass button, lights, mic and guitar inputs, and a wired mic included. At 19 lbs (8.6 kg) it weighs much less than the W-King T12 at 33.1 lbs (15 kg). Watch for: Bass extension is only about 60Hz at -10dB, so it lacks deep bass.
Buy the W-King T12. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the Sharp PS-929 is discontinued, so it is only available used.
