Short answer: the Turtlebox Ranger for the higher ranking, the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 for the lower price. The Turtlebox Ranger ranks #53 of 134 medium speakers at $250. The Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 ranks #82 at $163, $87 cheaper.
What the Turtlebox Ranger gets right: Much better frequency response than the other Turtlebox speakers. Set against that: Bass sounds kind of thuddy and isn’t as deep as higher ranked speakers.
On the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 side: IP67 rated, floats, and survives drops from up to 1 meter. The tradeoff: Not stereo, barely any bass.
Buy the Turtlebox Ranger if the ranking matters more than the price. Buy the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 if the price matters more than the ranking.

Turtlebox Ranger: $250.00 Amazon
Pros: Much better frequency response than the other Turtlebox speakers. Has magnets for attaching it to things. Appears to be quite tough
Cons: Bass sounds kind of thuddy and isn’t as deep as higher ranked speakers. Overpriced. Heavy for the size, likely due to the toughness

Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3: $163 Amazon
Pros: IP67 rated, floats, and survives drops from up to 1 meter. 20 hour battery life - about double most speakers this size.
Cons: Not stereo, barely any bass. You can tell from the micro USB that they are just feeding you the same crap hardware over and over, this is inexcusable for a product released in 2018. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear.
