What the Turtlebox Ranger does well: A very tough outdoor speaker with built in magnets for mounting it on metal surfaces. It links with other speakers (Turtlebox Party Mode), which the EarFun Uboom L cannot. The catch: Bass sounds kind of thuddy and isn’t as deep as higher ranked speakers.
The EarFun Uboom L is the better-sounding, longer-running pick. A great value medium speaker with clear, natural sound, waterproofing, and a Video Mode that keeps audio in sync with video.
