Short answer: the Stormbox Pro, and the ranking gap is substantial. It ranks #42 of 142 medium speakers at $90; the original Stormbox ranks #96 at $68, $22 less.
Both share the same basic complaint: an uneven top end. The original’s cons describe treble dips from 5kHz to 12kHz and a front-facing listening position that’s actually the worst orientation for its response. The Pro’s cons describe peaky mids and rolled-off highs, milder issues by comparison.
The Pro adds real practical upgrades. It doubles as a power bank and supports multi-point Bluetooth 5.3 pairing, and our notes note its bottom woofer issue was fixed in a later firmware update, worth applying before judging the sound.
Buy the Stormbox Pro. The ranking gap alone justifies the extra $22.

Tribit Stormbox: $68 Discontinued eBay
Pros: IPX7 water resistant, dual pairing for stereo setup, excellent battery life (20 hours), instant on/off buttons, 97dB max volume. Measured bass extension of 52Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Muffled sounding, treble dips from 5kHz-12kHz. Listening from the front is the worst frequency response, lay it down facing up with xbass off for the smoothest response. Not technically a 360 speaker, only front and rear. Discontinued; Tribit has retired it, superseded by the Stormbox 2. Discontinued.
