What the Tribit Stormbox 2 does well: A light, waterproof everyday speaker with a long rated battery and an Xbass mode that fills out the low end. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Huawei Sound Joy lacks. The catch: Drivers on the side, so it will have a rolled off treble listening to it face on.
The Huawei Sound Joy is the better-sounding option. A waterproof speaker with a separate tweeter, long battery life and good loudness, with a Devialet mode for its best sound. The tradeoff: Boosted treble, not quite as deep of bass as a JBL Charge 5.
Buy the Huawei Sound Joy 2, the replacement for the discontinued Huawei Sound Joy; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Tribit Stormbox 2.
