The NX 910-A is the sturdier systems box. Its plywood enclosure and FiRPHASE/Bass Motion Control processing make it a more robust alternative to RCF’s own ART-series speakers, with a wide 100° x 60° pattern and 130dB claimed peak. Its own cons note the truncated vendor measurement doesn’t yield a preference score, preventing a confident tonal comparison with scored leaders, and at 36.2 lbs (16.4 kg) it’s noticeably heavier than lighter alternatives.
The DBR10 is Yamaha’s most portable powered 10-inch. It carries the same DSP and amplification platform as the DXR and DZR series, with a built-in 2-channel mixer accepting XLR, 1/4-inch and RCA sources, all at a much lower price. Medium-quality vendor data shows a 4.75 ideal-subwoofer preference score, mid-pack for this ranking, and its own cons note a subwoofer partner matters for full-range material.
Buy the NX 910-A if you want plywood construction and RCF’s advanced DSP processing for a semi-permanent system.
Buy the DBR10 if you want the lowest-cost, most portable option with a built-in mixer and don’t need RCF’s systems-grade processing.
