Both are the same discontinued MK4 cabinet with the same amplifier and rigging, but the high-frequency driver differs. The 732-A MK4 uses a 1.4-inch compression driver with a 3-inch voice coil, giving it more vocal headroom and a lower crossover point at 700Hz, versus the 712-A MK4’s more modest compression driver crossing over at 1.6kHz. That difference shows up in the measured data: the 732-A MK4’s roughly 53Hz bass extension beats the 712-A MK4’s roughly 65Hz, and its 131dB claimed peak edges out the 712-A’s 129dB.
Neither model has a confirmed preference score, and both are discontinued.
