The K12.2 measures slightly ahead, with a deeper bass extension. Its low-quality vendor data returns a 7.73 ideal-subwoofer preference score with 48Hz measured extension. The ProMaxX 112A’s medium-quality data returns a close 6.30 score, second only to the K12.2 among the scored mainstream models here, with a shallower 68Hz extension. Its own review notes it needs a subwoofer sooner than most 12-inch competitors as a result.
Distribution and long-term support favor the QSC. The K12.2 benefits from extensive onboard DSP and a long market track record. The ProMaxX 112A’s own review flags that distribution and service availability are less universal than QSC, JBL, Yamaha or RCF, even though its smooth tonal result and high-output PA format make it a compelling value when it is available.
