The K10.2’s measured result stands out. Medium-quality vendor data returns a 8.25 ideal-subwoofer preference score, even higher than the well-regarded K12.2’s own result, backed by extensive onboard DSP and a 1.4-inch titanium compression driver. Its own cons are honest about the caveats: the underlying Spinorama source is low quality, so the apparent measured lead deserves some caution, and its 130dB peak claim is modest next to some 10-inch rivals.
The DDQ10 carries over touring-class engineering into a compact cabinet. Medium-quality vendor data returns a 6.83 ideal-subwoofer preference score, the second-strongest result in this class, with 63Hz measured extension, from a Faital Pro woofer, BMS compression driver and biamped Class-D amplification borrowed from the larger DDQ12/DDQ15. Its main drawback is availability: LD Systems has a smaller professional-audio service network in North America than JBL, Yamaha or QSC.
Everything else matches: neither speaker offers Bluetooth, and both rely on a subwoofer for full-range music at event levels.
Buy the K10.2 unless you have a specific reason to prefer the DDQ10’s biamped touring architecture.
Buy the DDQ10 if you want the deeper measured bass extension and don’t mind a smaller support network for service and parts.
