Short answer: the Minirig 3 for modular bass, the Sony ULT Field 3 for IP67 protection. The Minirig 3 is modular and can easily attach a subwoofer, but it is not stereo. The Sony is IP67 rated, dustproof and water resistant yet sounds a bit hollow with boosted treble, and it ranks #71 of 179 against #8 of 179.
Buy the Minirig 4, the replacement for the discontinued Minirig 3; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Sony ULT Field 3.
If water resistance matters to you, the Sony ULT Field 3 at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Minirig 3 at Splash resistant (splashing).
