Short answer: the Wildrod, and it’s the cheaper one. It ranks #17 of 135 medium speakers at $47; the D320 ranks #44 at $69.99, $23 more.
The Wildrod needs a firmware flash to hit its potential. Our notes say flashing the latest firmware brings much improved bass and treble, after which its remaining complaints are narrow: a slight peak around 250Hz and treble that’s a touch rolled off.
The D320 has a longer feature list out of the box. IP67 waterproofing, a 24-hour battery, and a customizable EQ app with six preset modes, though our notes describe the tuning itself as warm, lacking some detail, with rolled-off treble.
Buy the Wildrod for the better ranking and lower price, after updating its firmware. Buy the D320 if IP67 water resistance specifically matters to you.
