Short answer: the Partybox 520, and it’s also the cheaper one. It ranks #7 of 12 large party speakers at $799.95; the Rockster ranks #8 at €950 and, per our notes, is only available in Europe.
The Rockster’s case is being the loudest battery-powered speaker on the site, with deeper bass than the Soundboks 2 and 3. It’s also extremely heavy and not easy to carry, with no stereo mode.
The Partybox 520 is JBL’s biggest battery-powered speaker currently made, with the same handle-and-wheels convenience and lightshow ability as the rest of the Partybox line.
Buy the Partybox 520 if you’re outside Europe or want it now. Buy the Rockster only if you’re in Europe and specifically want the outright loudest option.
Battery life favors the Teufel Rockster: rated for 30 hours against 15 hours for the JBL Partybox 520.
There is a real gap in water resistance: the JBL Partybox 520 at IPX4 (splashing) against the Teufel Rockster, which has no water resistance.

Pros: JBL’s biggest battery-powered PartyBox combines very high output, deep chesty bass, wheels and a telescoping handle with a capable app EQ, lights, USB-C audio and mic/instrument inputs. RTINGS finds it loud enough for backyards and unusually well-equipped for a battery party speaker.
Cons: It is very large and heavy, Bluetooth latency is high for video, and its front-facing design loses much of the mids and treble to people off to the sides. The bass-heavy default can also make dialogue less clear without EQ.
