Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the W-King D8 Mini for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The W-King D8 Mini ranks #106 at $38.93, $91.02 cheaper.
The case for the JBL Flip 7: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. The catch: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.
On the W-King D8 Mini side: 30W output with switchable indoor/outdoor EQ modes. IPX6 rated with a 5000mAh battery. Watch for: Recessed midrange, harsh treble. Bass doesn’t go as deep as others.
Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the W-King D8 Mini if the price matters more than sound quality.
If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the W-King D8 Mini. It ranks near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers, so look higher up the list instead.
If battery life is a priority, the W-King D8 Mini is rated for 24 hours versus 14 hours for the JBL Flip 7.
