Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the Tribit Stormbox Mini+ for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The Tribit Stormbox Mini+ ranks #110 at $29.96, $99.99 cheaper.
On the JBL Flip 7 side: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. Set against that: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.
What the Tribit Stormbox Mini+ offers: IPX7 waterproof, app support with EQ presets and AAC codec, true wireless stereo (TWS) capability, USB-C charging, built-in mic for calls, AUX input, microSD card playback. Watch for: Not a great sounding speaker, really weak bass.
Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Tribit Stormbox Mini+ if the price matters more than sound quality.
If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Tribit Stormbox Mini+. It ranks near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers, so look higher up the list instead.
