JBL Flip 7 vs Teufel Rockster Go 2

Last updated: September 19, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 on measured sound quality, the Teufel Rockster Go 2 on price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 142 medium speakers at $149.95. The Teufel Rockster Go 2 ranks #73 at $99.99, $49.96 cheaper.

JBL Flip 7 vs Teufel Rockster Go 2

What the Flip 7 offers: a very neutral sound in an almost pocket-sized 560 g body with IP68 protection and slightly deeper bass than the Flip 6 (59Hz at -10dB). The tradeoff: it has a small bump around 4kHz, is not quite as neutral as the Flip 6, and is mono without stereo pairing.

The case for the Rockster Go 2: two 50mm drivers with a passive radiator give stereo, it supports stereo pairing, is IP67 rated and claims 28 hours in Eco Mode with a tripod mount. Set against that: there is no app or 3.5 mm input, it loses definition at maximum volume, and the battery claim is optimistic for loud playback.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Teufel Rockster Go 2 if the price matters more than sound quality.

JBL Flip 7 ranking card

Pros: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. Slightly deeper bass than the Flip 6. Measured bass extension of 59Hz (-10dB).

Cons: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.

Teufel Rockster Go 2 ranking card

Pros: At 0.74 kg, the IP67 Rockster Go 2 is genuinely easy to carry, and its claimed 28-hour battery life, USB-C fast charging, stereo pairing, and tripod mount suit outdoor use. Independent listening found a balanced, clear midrange and tuneful bass at sensible levels.

Cons: There is no companion app or 3.5 mm input. Reviewers found it loses some definition at maximum volume, and the claimed battery figure is optimistic for loud outdoor playback.
