JBL Flip 7 vs Soundcore 2

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the Soundcore 2 for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The Soundcore 2 ranks #81 at $29.99, $99.96 cheaper.

On the JBL Flip 7 side: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. The tradeoff: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.

What the Soundcore 2 offers: 24+ hour battery life from a 5200mAh cell. Very light (0.8 lb) and compact. Set against that: Bass doesn’t go as deep as others.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Soundcore 2 if the price matters more than sound quality.

If battery life is a priority, the Soundcore 2 is rated for 24 hours versus 14 hours for the JBL Flip 7.
