JBL Flip 7 vs Ortizan X10

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the Ortizan X10 for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The Ortizan X10 ranks #123 at $39.99, $89.96 cheaper.

What the JBL Flip 7 gets right: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. The catch: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.

The case for the Ortizan X10: IPX7 rated and pairs with a second X10 for stereo (TWS). Up to 30 hours of battery life. The tradeoff: Not much bass, very rolled off treble. Weird harsh midrange peak.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Ortizan X10 if the price matters more than sound quality.

If sound quality matters at all to you, skip the Ortizan X10. It ranks near the bottom of the 136 medium speakers, so look higher up the list instead.

If battery life is a priority, the Ortizan X10 is rated for 30 hours versus 14 hours for the JBL Flip 7.
