JBL Flip 7 vs LG Xboom Grab

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the LG Xboom Grab for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 136 medium speakers at $129.95. The LG Xboom Grab ranks #82 at $88, $41.95 cheaper.

What the JBL Flip 7 offers: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. The catch: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.

The case for the LG Xboom Grab: 20 hour battery life - longer than the JBL Flip 7 or UE Boom 4. IP67 rated with elastic mounting straps. The tradeoff: Bass extension not as deep as the top speakers. Overpriced. This may move around in the rankings as we get better sound samples.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the LG Xboom Grab if the price matters more than sound quality.
