Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 on bass quality. The Flip 7 is very neutral and almost pocket size, only a little bump at 4kHz away from the Flip 6. The KEF Muo gen2 appears to fix the rolled off treble and overall balance of the original, but it is lacking deeper bass and our notes call its bass very thuddy.
Buy the JBL Flip 7. It is rated higher for sound quality than the KEF Muo gen2 and costs less, so only choose the other one for a particular feature it does better.

Pros: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. Slightly deeper bass than the Flip 6. IP68 protection, a 7-band app EQ, Auracast and a USB-C digital audio input. Measured bass extension of 59Hz (-10dB).
Cons: A little bit of a bump at 4kHz, not quite as neutral as the Flip 6. On balance it is the slightly worse of the two.

Pros: KEF seemed to have fixed the rolled off treble and overall balance
Cons: Lacking deeper bass. Very thuddy bass. Appears to be the exact same hardware but with updated tuning. Bass distorts as volume increases, and the claimed 43Hz extension is really only audible at low listening volumes, with a few seconds of lag after volume changes. Loses most of its bass off-axis. Customer reviews are mixed, ranging from praise for detail at low volume to complaints of a boxy, hollow sound.
