JBL Flip 7 vs Fugoo Sport

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Short answer: the JBL Flip 7 for better sound quality, the Fugoo Sport for the lower price. The JBL Flip 7 ranks #14 of 135 medium speakers at $149.95. The Fugoo Sport ranks #37 at $33, $116.95 cheaper.

What stands out about the JBL Flip 7: It’s a very neutral, very small, almost pocket sized speaker with slightly more treble and slightly deeper bass than the already great Flip 6. The compromise: it has a small bump at 4kHz that makes it not quite as neutral as the Flip 6, and may actually be a slight step down from it.

The Fugoo Sport’s case: It has a pretty neutral sound with just a slight peak in the upper mids. The catch is: its battery life is well short of the original Fugoo’s 40 hours at about 10 hours, there’s no companion app for EQ or control, and the Bluetooth connection can be a bit unstable.

Buy the JBL Flip 7 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Fugoo Sport if the price matters more than sound quality.

JBL Flip 7 ranking card

Pros: A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size. Just slightly more treble than the Flip 6 which was already a great speaker. Slightly deeper bass than the Flip 6

Cons: A little bit of a bump at 4khz, not quite as neutral as the FLip 6. I believe this one is slightly worse than the Flip 6.
