JBL Flip 6 vs Bogasing M4

The JBL Flip 6 is the lighter choice. A very neutral speaker, very small, almost pocket size, a huge sound quality leap over the Flip 5. At 1.2 lbs (544 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Bogasing M4 at 1.6 lbs (731 g). It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bogasing M4 lacks. The catch: Some slight upper mids emphasis.

The Bogasing M4 is the longer-running option. Super Bass mode gives the most balanced sound. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 12 for the JBL Flip 6. It keeps a wired aux input, which the JBL Flip 6 lacks. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the JBL Flip 6. The tradeoff: It sounds a bit harsh and thin.

Buy the JBL Flip 6. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Bogasing M4 is discontinued.
