Short answer: the Harman Kardon Luna 2 for one-piece portability, the Minirig 2 with subwoofer for balanced sound. The Luna 2 costs $199.95 against $260 for the two-piece Minirig, and its tight, well-controlled bass comes from a 62mm x 82mm woofer and passive radiator. The Minirig is not stereo, has no official water rating, a buggy app and buggy TWS pairing, plus reliability issues more often than any other speaker. The Minirig 2 with subwoofer is discontinued; its replacement is the Minirig 4 with subwoofer.
The Minirig 2 with subwoofer is the longer-running pick. A two-piece portable system of speaker plus subwoofer with very balanced sound and a long 40 hour rated battery. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 12 for the Harman Kardon Luna 2. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Harman Kardon Luna 2 lacks. Watch for: Not stereo, app is buggy.
Buy the Harman Kardon Luna 2 at $199.95 for a medium speaker, or the Minirig 2 with subwoofer at $260 for a large speaker instead.
Water resistance is not close: the Harman Kardon Luna 2 is rated at IP67 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Minirig 2 with subwoofer at Splash resistant (splashing).
