The Minirig’s very balanced sound is held back by a mono presentation and a buggy app. The Wildbox is noted for a really neutral midrange response, but it does not seem to be available anymore.
Buy the Mifa Wildbox or the Minirig 2 with subwoofer, whichever you find used in better condition; both are discontinued. For a new speaker, buy the Minirig 4 with subwoofer, which replaces the Minirig 2 with subwoofer.
Battery life favors the Minirig 2 with subwoofer: rated for 40 hours against 24 hours for the Mifa Wildbox.
If water resistance matters to you, the Mifa Wildbox at IP67 (brief submersion) holds up far better than the Minirig 2 with subwoofer at Splash resistant (splashing).
