The ProMaxX 112A is a strong-value mainstream box. Medium-quality vendor data yields a 7.21 ideal-subwoofer preference score, second only to the QSC among scored mainstream models in this class, with a smooth tonal result and high-output PA format. Its cons are modest: measured bass extension is only 68Hz, so it needs a subwoofer sooner than most 12-inch competitors, and distribution and service availability are less universal than QSC, JBL, Yamaha or RCF.
The EX12 is a premium specialist box. A 6.62 ideal-subwoofer preference score and 52Hz bass extension from medium-quality vendor data make it one of the strongest measured specialist boxes, and its 3-inch-diaphragm compression driver, 133dB claimed peak and 80° x 40° horn target high vocal clarity and controlled throw. Its own cons acknowledge the 60.4 lbs (27.4 kg) enclosure and premium price make it much less portable and accessible than the mainstream leaders, and user controls are comparatively spare, without an onboard mixer, app control or general-purpose parametric EQ.
Buy the ProMaxX 112A if you want the best measured value in this class and can source it locally.
Buy the EX12 if you specifically need its narrow 80° x 40° horn for vocal-focused throw and are prepared for the weight and price premium.
