The Mitus 112A posts the stronger preference score. Medium-quality vendor data produces a 5.78 ideal-subwoofer preference score from a B&C neodymium woofer, rotatable 80° x 50° horn, plywood cabinet and 133dB claimed peak output. Its own cons note measured bass extension is about 79Hz, well short of the much deeper manufacturer response claim, so a subwoofer is advisable for full-range music, and controls are limited to presets and filters rather than app-based mixing and remote DSP.
The DZR12 goes deeper and louder, at a measured tonal cost. Premium cabinet construction, a 139dB claimed output and deep onboard 96kHz DSP suit demanding live work, with 48Hz measured extension, the deepest result among the scored Yamaha models in this class. But its own cons are candid: the medium-quality vendor measurement produces only a 4.91 ideal-subwoofer preference score, so the price buys output, processing and build more than neutral tonality. It’s heavy at roughly 46.3 lbs (21 kg) and has no Bluetooth audio.
Buy the Mitus 112A if measured tonal balance and a plywood cabinet matter more than peak output.
Buy the DZR12 if you need the deeper measured bass extension and higher output claim for demanding live work, and app-based control isn’t a priority.
