Short answer: the JBL Xtreme 2. It ranks #44 of 77 large speakers by sound quality at $199.99; the Dali Katch G2 ranks #58 and costs $750, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.
The case for the Dali Katch G2: Pretty neutral Set against that: Loses bass quickly after 40% volume. A lot of compression artifacts at high volume. External AC power brick for charging. Horribly overpriced. Nearly identical to the Dali Katch G1. Reverb added to the output screws up the imaging.
On the JBL Xtreme 2 side: Four drivers with refined bass balance, closer to studio monitors than typical portables. IPX7 water-resistant. Amazing real-world battery: ~20 hours at 75dB (vs 15hr claim). USB-A port charges other devices. Optional carry strap. Watch for: External AC power brick for charging. Boosted bass. Treble harsh at high volumes.
Buy the JBL Xtreme 2. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Dali Katch G2 and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.
The Dali Katch G2 is not a sound-quality pick. It sits near the bottom of the 77 large speakers; there are better options higher up.
If battery life is a priority, the Dali Katch G2 is rated for 30 hours versus 15 hours for the JBL Xtreme 2.
