Short answer: the Soundcore Boom 3i, if you are buying new. The Bogasing M4 measures as well as it (#28 vs #31 of 164 medium speakers, 4.0/5 vs 4.0/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Soundcore Boom 3i is still sold new at $118.99.
The Bogasing M4 is the longer-running choice. Super Bass mode gives the most balanced sound. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 16 for the Soundcore Boom 3i. It keeps a wired aux input, which the Soundcore Boom 3i lacks. It plays in stereo from a single unit, unlike the Soundcore Boom 3i. Watch for: It sounds a bit harsh and thin.
Why pick the Soundcore Boom 3i: Looks to be designed as a direct competitor to the Charge 5 with a very similar sound profile, warm tuned with boosted bass. It has an adjustable EQ, which the Bogasing M4 lacks. The tradeoff: Not quite as good as a Charge 5, doesn’t go quite as loud or sound quite as balanced, but very very close.
Buy the Soundcore Boom 3i, since the Bogasing M4 is discontinued and only worth hunting down used.
